魔羯是十二星座中名字最抽象的。「魔」這個字的解釋是關乎一種神秘詭異、強大兇猛的邪惡力量；「羯」的解釋是：公羊，特指被閹割過的。不管怎樣好鬥的動物，被閹割過也是溫馴的，而這種溫馴表現得又是那麼充滿壓抑。
　　
魔羯座是一個由極端混合而成的矛盾體，從來不曾有哪一個星座像他們一樣痛苦的在成為一個好人還是壞人的思慮中那麼頻繁而且痛苦的掙扎。魔羯沒有中間態，終其一生忍受內心各種相互矛盾的極端之間的衝突，無法清楚、絕對的表達自己是他們的宿命。註定感受誤解、孤獨、搖擺和困惑。很少有魔羯能擺脫天堂和地獄之間的掙扎。

可是如果魔羯在歷經世事後而最終能蛻變為真正的神或魔，百年難遇，一旦遇到除了臣服別無選擇。他們有很好的悟性，甚至可以汲取十二星座各大優勢為己用。但魔羯的強大永遠不會是一種霸氣。
　　
如果有一隻魔羯指出你的缺點那一定是友善的。大多數情況下，你看到的只是個傻乎乎的魔羯，對你的問題愣愣的，有著各種胡言亂語。
